It is a time discipline. For this discipline must be corral optically divided in half by starting line (signs are placed visibly on the fence). One half serves as a „cattle side“ in which are focused the animals before the start. In the second half of non-cattle side stands a small corral in the L-shape so that the open side (Gate) face to the wall on the short side of non-cattle arena. A herd of calves is indicated by numbers. All calves must be placed in the middle of the shorter side of the corral on the cattle side before the start. Competitions one rider. Time limit is 1 minute. This limit may be shorten by the referee. The rider sorts out a cattle designated by referee, herds it behind the line on non-cattle side and leads it to the corral at the long wall of the arena. Closes by entering with horse in range of the head and seat to entry of the corral, and by putting hand up. Time stops counting when the rider puts hand up. During the separation can only 5 calves come to non-cattle side at one time, at the end of the time limit must be all calves with the wrong numbers back at cattle side. Horse rider may enter the pen, but it should not be at the moment when the time stops. The rider may stand on the finish line to prevent calf escaping. Behind the starting line cannot be more than five calves in one time. Otherwise, the rider is disqualified. Rider is also disqualified when closes into pen other cattle than appointed one. Time is measured from when the horse rider crosses the starting line by the horse's nose, and ends with time expiration or by closing the pen before the limit. When finishing the disciplines all unclosed cattles must be on the cattle side of corral, otherwise the rider is disqualified. Fall of horse or rider does not mean a sanction, if the rider tries not to continue before he is back on horse. Otherwise, it means disqualification. The use of reins, whip and lasso, and other similar devices for pushing selected cattle is prohibited.
